First 1/2 Marathon.....Good Job!

Leif ran his first half marathon with his friend Tyler Knotts yesterday in Buena Vista. He finished with a great time 1:54:05 and got third place in his age group! He got a ribbon!! Tyler did great as well! Good Job guys!

Going, Going Gone!

We went to the lake yesterday with our friends Jerry, Anne, Judd and Aubree. I think we are trying to hold on to every last bit of summer we can before it is over.

Start spreading the news, I am leaving today, I want to be a part of it, New York!

I know this is a lot of pictures!! Sorry...... My mom, my little sister Christine, Zana and I had such a good time in New York! We loved every minuet of it. There was so much to see in 4 days and we managed to get in everything we wanted to do.
We went to The Lion King and LOVED it! We strolled through Central Park and we were amazed and the beauty and lovely peace and serenity in the middle of the bustling busy city. We walked along 5th Ave, and saw all the fancy stores Tiffanys, Fendi, Prada etc... We took a tour of the city and went to Greenwich Village, Soho, Little Italy (it is almost no more) Chinatown, The Statue of Liberty (amazing) Ellis Island, The Empire State building, Ground Zero and all over downtown. We even went to the Today Show met Meredith Viera and Zana was even on the show!! (that was her highlight) Michael Phelps was there too! WE went to The Hello Deli and met Rupert and saw Conan Obrien jogging down the street outside of the apartment we were staying at! We were able to stay in a fabulous apartment on 72nd and Central Park West just a couple of buildings down from where John Lennon was tragically shot. We were right across the street from Central Park! We figured out the Subway and we were all in awe of the amazing public transportation system!! We loved everything about our trip everyday was an adventure and so much fun.
I can not wait to go back!!! This time for straight shopping!!! :0)

So after committing to being a "runner" I have tried to run couple of 5k's with my friend Anne but ended up being a tard and ditching out. SO I finally ran one with her today!! I was hoping to get under 30min and when I got the "official" results I was SHOCKED to say the least, 27:18!!! YAY!! Anne rocked it with a 25:40 time GO ANNE!
We are glad we had a good cheering section, thanks Zana, Katlyn, Noah, Ewan and Leif!!!!

Better Together

Leif and I saw Jack Johnson last night at Red Rocks and had a great time on our date! Dates are far and few these days so when we get the chance we don't hesitate!
Thanks for the tickets and great date Leif! I love you and for SURE it's always better when we're together!
