Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree.........

Last weekend we went up to Leif's mom's house to help her put up her tree and to help my brother Jim and his wife Lyndsey cut down a tree. Ewan LOVED the tree and the lights.

White Elephants........

We hosted our annual White Elephant Christmas gift exchange. We had a good time and this year since we could not get it together toned it down a bit. We had a good time thanks all for coming.

'Tis the Season

Wow the Christmas season is full swing! Last night we had an amazing enrichment and it made me think a little about this holiday season. We are so lucky to live where we live but take SO much granite, I am so thankful we have a house, a job, and I am lucky enough to be able to stay home with my kids. We may not have the best of the best but we have a lot I am grateful for that! I am grateful for the gospel and for the friends I have because of it. Most of all I am thankful for my Savior and I hope that this Christmas I can try to teach my kids the importance of Christmas is not what and how much we get but how much we can give and to remember our Savior and celebrate his birth! I hope as we all get ready for this Christmas holiday we remember to give and remember to be thankful for we have, family friends and for our Savior Jesus Christ.

Happy Turkey Run, And Day

We had a fabulous Thanksgiving, we started the morning out running the Mile High United Way 4 mile Turkey Trot with our good friends Andrea and Chris. Andrea and I had a great pace, it is fun running with her she keeps me on my toes! This helped us feel better about being pigs later in the day. After we went up to Leif's mom's house in Conifer and had a YUMMY dinner. You would think we would have taken some pictures while up there but NO we did not :(. We even had our camera, boo us! My parents were here for the week and we had a really good time with them. Can't wait until Christmas now, this time will use our camera!

Happy 30th B-Day!! Okay 31 but who's counting?!

My day started out great running a 5k supporting adoption with some great friends, Kathy,Kelli,Anne and Tammy!! Thanks girls I love ya! Then a fun family party arranged by Noah, my mother-in-law Joyce was able to join in on the fun too!!! Glad she was able to come celebrate with us.
Last year when I turned 30 I had just had Ewan and he was a sad reflux baby. So Leif was not able to have the "surprise" party he wanted for me. So this year for my 31st he planned a nice surprise party and he did SURPRISE me!!! It was very sweet and nice to have my closest friends with me minus the Knotts and Ashcrofts.....don't worry guys I understand.....THANKS a lot T.K. :) Oh yeah and my bro and his wife who were in Boulder rooting for Curtis who plays football for CU.
Oh and my hat says 30 because leif was trying to make-up for the sad b-day last year so I guess I am 30 again YAY!!!
Thanks Leif I LOVE you!

Halloween

The kids were excited to go Trick-or-Treating! We were excited to take them because for the first time in years it was in the 70's on Halloween. YAY! It was a wonderful night. Noah was Ben 10 (a boy cartoon who he loves) Zana was a corpse bride and Ewan was Dumbo, he hated to have his "ears" on though :). We now have a TON of candy, I hope it just goes away without me eating it. :)

Happy 1st Birthday Ewan!

Ewan turned a year old October 22nd but we did not officially celebrate until Sunday the 26th. Here are some pictures of him eating cake and opening some gifts. We are happy he is healthy and that the reflux finally went away! People comment on how fast this year went by and I just smile and nod, to tell the truth I NEVER thought we would get to this point! I am happy he is a happy wild and crazy baby who actually eats now!!! He is a special spirit and he livens up our lives.
