Yesterday I ran my first half marathon. That is 13.1 miles!!! I did great if I do say so myself, I finished 15 min. faster than I hoped for. My time was 2hours and 52 seconds. My RAD friend Andrea ran it with me and she kicked some serious butt. She got a new PR finishing 10 min faster than her last half marathon, even after battling some barbed wire!
It was a perfect day! The weather was gorgeous, our awesome husbands and kids were the BEST cheerleaders and really helped keep us going. The kids played in the park and then later we went swimming. THANKS GUYS. And thanks Andrea you are the best running friend EVER! Here is to more runs together!

My little brother and his wife Lyndsey had their baby last Fri. the 21st. Jocelyn is such a doll. We are very excited for Jim and Lyndsey and Zana is excited to have another girl cousin on my side of the family. We love her lots and it will be fun to watch her grow.

First day of school.........ALREADY! :(

Today is Noah and Zana's first day of school. It is a sad day for me. I am not ready to let summer go or to have my kids gone ALL DAY! Ewan and I will miss them a whole bunch during the day.
We started the day out with yummy raspberry chocolate pancakes, then we walked to school took some pics. chatted with friends and then waved goodbye to our kids. Zana is a big 4th grader and Noah is in 1st. They both were very excited to go today to see all their friends. Leif and I hope they have a FANTASTIC day today.

Happy Birthday Leif!

Leif's b-day was on the 14th, ( I know I am a little slow). His brother Jon and his wife and son came out as well as his Grandma Snapp. We had blast. We went to the lake and hung out did some kneeboading, wakeboarding, log riding and played in the sand. Then we went back to the house for cake and presents. We had a great time with everyone and even made it up to Conifer for a hotdog roast and a yummy gooseberry pie.

OH, give me a home where the buffalo roam....

This last weekend we went to Glendo Lake in Wyoming with some good friends of ours (Mike, Rene' and their 3 kids Abby, Ethan and Isaac) from our Sheridan, Wy. days. It was the perfect in between spot for us both. We had such a fun time. Full of camping fun, boating and some of the craziest weather ever! The best part about this lake is just how BIG it is, and the amazing white sandy beaches. AND this is was the first time I ever went wakeboarding on FLAT and I mean FLAT water, it was the most incredible experience! Zana got up on the knee board for the first time and loved it, she was proud of herself. We found some rad cliffs and jumped off them, and just had fun tubing, wakeboarding and kneeboarding all around.
We also celebrated our friends son Isaac's first birthday and then this week is Mike and Rene's 10 year anniversary. All in all is was a GREAT trip and we have decided it needs to be annual thing.

Our good friends Tyler and Lacey moved today. *sniff* *sniff* Yesterday we had them over for lunch and hung out with them a bit for one last time (as CO residents that is) I really hope to visit them and hope they visit us SOON! We are super glad to have met them and to have had the opportunity to be friends with them. We love and will miss them.
