More yard work, does it ever end???

This weekend we are trying to do the last of our yard work. Last Summer we laid new sod and made a "playground" area for the kids. This summer we are putting some finishing touches on what we started. We put a "picket" fence to separate the kid play area from the nice grassy area and to keep our dogs off the grass too. Leif decided to put crushed granite and river rock in areas as well.
Ewan thought the tractor looked fun so Leif took him on a ride and he loved it! He made this hilarious monkey face and did his funny little happy squeal while sitting on the tractor. He was very sad when he had to get off and come inside with boring old mom.

Ewan's first camping trip!

This last weekend we went on our first camping trip of the summer! Before we left on our trip we looked down and noticed we all had our flip flops on! I guess the longer you live with people the more you start thinking alike. This was Ewan's first camping trip he did fabulous, we were scared that he would not sleep but he surprised us. The first night he woke up a couple of times for a brief minute but the second night he slept through the whole night!
We went with some of our good friends Tyler and Lacey Knotts and their two kids Ellie and Avery. We got there Friday night and then Saturday we rented a boat and hung out on Boyd Lake all day. The kids did great and the adults had some fun as well. I tried to water ski and after make a huge fool out of myself tried knee boarding instead. I LOVED it! I had such a good time. Lacey of course was a pro at it and tried a 360 she came so close and then last minute let go of the rope. Leif tried both and got up on both the water ski's and knee board, he agreed with me knee boarding is our thing. Zana tried as well and got a little freaked out by the speed of the boat. Tyler had some amazing boat driving skills!
The little ones had fun swimming, Ewan and Avery both had a hard time staying awake on the boat. You would have thought one of us would have been smart and would have brought a camera along to document our fun but nope! We all forgot our camera's, I was so sad. :(
The kids al had a great time climbing tree's, playing in dirt and making smores. We are blessed to have great friends to share these fun times with!

Worthen Family Visit June 2008

My little sister Angie had her first baby on June 11th so 10 days later we gathered up the Snapp-Cook crew and headed out to Southern Utah to surprise her and see our first nephew Licoln on my side of the family.
We had such a good time there! Our nephew is adorable and we were so happy to get to see him while he was still so tiny and sweet. Ewan looked so big compared to little baby Licoln.
Leif and I were able to go on our favorite hike in Southern Utah and it was the first time EVER leaving Ewan while he was awake for more than one hour at a time.
Zana, Noah and Leif went camping with my dad and they all had a great time. Although Zana and Noah are sure that grandpa tried to kill them by taking them on a 6 mile hike!!! They managed to stay alive. :)
We love visiting and being with our family!

4 Wheeling with Dad

This whole summer Leif has tried to get us to go 4 wheeling with him and we FINALLY agreed! Noah was the funniest little guy about the whole trip, he kept saying "Dad this is not fun, this the worst day of my whole life." By the end of the day though he did say "This was fun, it was the best day of my life." Funny little guy.

Ewan has no complaints he LOVED every minute of it.

Update on Life

Okay, So I thought since it has been 5 months since I have done anything on this site I would give a hopefully brief update on our lives.

Zana turned 8 (yes 8) in April and was baptized! It was a good fun filled day, my dad game out from Southern Utah and was able to confirm her. Joyce joined us from Longmont and it was fun to have her there to support her. Jim and Lynds were there along with all of our amazing friends here!
She just finished the 2nd grade and had an amazing school year. Her grades were FANTASTIC! She is good reader and reads whenever she gets the chance. She is a an adventurous girl wiling to try anything. She recently climbed the rock wall at REI and did really well, she does better at bouldering. She loves to hike and just did a 6 mile hike with her dad, brother and Grandpa. She is a joy to have around and lot of help with her baby brother.

Noah turned 5 March and does not let us forget he is a 5 year old. He just finished pre-school and is looking forward to Kindergarten and homework :)
He is a pretty wild a crazy guy! He just recently got caught climbing on the roof, and escaped from our back yard and tried to go to Gunthertoody's all by himself. I swear I need to get a GPS put on him. He is a loving little guy and loves to be with his dad and grandpa.

Ewan is 8 months! Time sure flies by. He is getting cuter by the day. His acid reflux is slowly going away and he is finally eating! He refuses to crawl and just rolls everywhere chasing the cat and dogs. He is smily little guy full of energy, he has to be constantly moving

Blog bandwagon we are jumping on!

Okay, so I guess it is time to jump on this crazy blogging bandwagon. This technical world is killing me! I suppose it is a good way to keep in touch with friends and family who are far away.
I am new to this blogging business so try not to laugh to hard at my attempt to be blog savvy!
