Fun Weekend

This weekend my best friend CIndy Palmer flew out with her two foreign exchange students. We had SOOOOOO much fun. Saturday and Sunday was snowboarding all around. I went with them all on Saturday and leif went with them on Sunday. Then Sunday afternoon we all headed up to Red Rocks, it was gorgeous. Monday we hit the mall for Luisa! :) It was a super fun fast weekend! We all enjoyed meeting Rahnan and Luisa and having them stay with us. We hope they come back to visit soon! I already miss Cindy! I miss her lots and lots she is more like a sister than anything! Thanks for coming Cindy, I miss you LOTS!

For Valentine's Day we got a heart shaped pizza from Papa Murphy's and had some friends over and made heart shaped cookies! Earlier in the day we went bowling and Leif took us all to Godiva's to pick out some yummy chocolate. :)
Leif and I celebrated our V-day a week earlier. My friend and I made reservations at a hotel downtown lined up baby sitters and were prepared to surprise the husbands at dinner. Well my friend Anne's husband is a firefighter and before we could surprise them he got a call to do an overtime shift and accepted before we could tell. :( We still had a great time at dinner and the rooms were fabulous! Leif just had to wake up at 5am to take Jerry to the station! We had a good time and the boys were surprised and poor Jerry felt soooo bad! I will have to post some pictures as soon as I get them from Anne! :) (and yes we got 2 different rooms down the hall from one another :0)!

Resolutions.....

Okay so I have had some time to think about what my resolutions for the new year are going to be.
Here goes........
1. Be better with a budget (this is mine every year and most of the time it is an EPIC FAIL!)
2. Try to make it to the Temple more often
3. Just be a better (maybe nicer) person
4. Run the Moab 1/2 marathon in March!! NO chickening out here!
5. Spend more time with my kids
6. Get organized, I was super organized until my little monkey wrench Ewan came into the picture :)
7. Be less stressed out (if anyone has any ideas for this comment away)!
8. Quit the Diet Coke.... this is going to be the hardest for me as most of you know!!!

Well there are some I hope that this year I can be better at all of the above and accomplish all my goals. Wish me LUCK! I figure if I post them I have people who know what I am doing and can check up on me!

To start the year off we headed to Colorado Springs to "hike" around the Garden of the Gods. Joyce came along for the fun too. We had a really nice time the weather was perfect! What a fabulous way to start the new year off. We hope that this year is filled with love and peace and that if 2008 was not a good year 2009 is better.

JOyce, Jon, Jennifer and Max came down before departing back to Encinitas to play a bit. We had no snow so had to be creative and went grass sledding. The kids had blast! We had lots of fun with Jon, Jen and Max we can't wait until Mexico in June YAY!!!!

After driving home from Southern Utah we were able to have a little Christmas celebration with Leif's mom, his brother Jon his wife Jennifer, Max and Leif Aunt Judy and his cousins Jenny her little girl Fatu and sig. other Carlos and his other cousin Corbin. We had lots of fun together and of course the little cousins had a blast too.
